What is EM Credit?
- EM is the university's abbreviation for "Credit by Examination".
- EM credit, not transfer credit, is awarded if a student is placed in level 2 or higher.
- EM credit awards a student with 5 credit hours for each ASL level the student tests out of
- EM credit does not affect the student'sGPA, but it does count as hours toward graduation.
Note: EM credit will NOT be awarded for courses that are prerequisites to those for which college credit has ALREADY been earned, or for any course in which a student has received either a mark at OSU or transfer credit from another institution.
