Meredith Burke, is a proud DeafDisabled person, born and raised in central Ohio. She is a graduate of Gallaudet University, receiving both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Deaf Studies and Deaf Cultural Studies. Meredith is a known advocate and activist, fighting for inclusion and accessibility for all. Meredith has presented her knowledge, experience and work with a range of audiences throughout the country, sharing her research, passion, and advocacy. She is an adjunct professor for Gallaudet University and was a full-time professor at Georgetown University. Before accepting the job at Georgetown, she was the Cultural and Accessibility Consultant for Hallenross and Associates, an ASL interpreting agency in Central Ohio. She also taught a variety of courses in the Interpreter Education Program at Columbus State Community College in Columbus, Ohio.

For fun: Meredith loves the Buckeyes, religiously watching football on Saturdays. She also loves to travel, be with nature, and the outdoors. Meredith has a service dog, Dexter, who she loves to play with during down time.
