Jenny has taught ASL for over twenty years at Ohio University, community classes, and county agencies. She has used her passion for the Deaf community as a mental health specialist, crime victim advocate, and a caseworker. Jenny also co-owned an outdoor outfitter company for ten years, providing experience in cohesion, teamwork and community.

Jenny is a deaf private pilot and served as President of Deaf Pilot's Association from 2018-2022. She continues to serve as an advisor on the board. Since 2015, she has been the coordinator for Young Eagles, a volunteer organization that provides free flights for children. In addition, she volunteers behind the scenes at Columbus Colony Elderly Care. She also graduated from Franklin County Sheriff's Office Citizen's Academy and volunteers for their community services. When she is not traveling, which has included touring Europe and 32 national parks, Jenny prefers to spend time outdoors and with her 4 children, chickens, and hound dog.
