Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

ASL Placement Test

ASL Placement Test
October 3, 2014
9:30 am - 12:00 pm
455 Hagerty Hall

The ASL Placement Exam is a tool that was developed for incoming freshman who have taken ASL as their Foreign Language requirement in high school or for    those students who have an advanced signing background.

The test typically runs an hour to an hour and a half. The signing portions is about 25 minutes long and the written portion is up to the student. They have as much time as they need to complete the test.

Our test is different from other Language Placement Tests, in that we have one on one interviews using ASL with students rather than computer based testing. Because of that, we do not have the typical walk-in testing available that most languages have.
