Hailed from New York City, Mia Sanchez has the true grit of a multifaceted individual. She was raised as the only Deaf person in her Caribbean American family. Her deafness and strong curiosity have led her to become an artist, educator, entrepreneur, humanitarian, and word traveler to this day.

Sanchez graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) with her highest degree Masters of Science in Deaf Education. She taught at two different Deaf residential schools in New York and California. Since 2020, she has taught American Sign Language (ASL) at Sign Language Center.

Sanchez has two children, who are considered to be children of Deaf adults (CODAs), and a German Shepard. During her free time, Sanchez enjoys creating art, developing educational and creative videos, cooking, hiking, traveling, and yoga.

Her biggest goal is to share her knowledge and experiences by doing stage presentations and exclusive interviews to spread awareness about changing the world through the gift of giving.
